Opportunities for Adults

From connecting in community to finding healing through counseling or recovery, there are many ways that adults gather, grow and build relationships at NNCC.

As you read through the many different options, we invite you to imagine how your gifts can be used to be part of meeting the needs in the neighborhood.

Recovery Programs

  • overeaters anonyomous

Overeaters Anonymous is a Fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from compulsive overeating. We welcome everyone who wants to stop eating compulsively.  Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors and to carry the message of recovery through the Twelve Steps of OA to those who still suffer.

  • Alcoholics anonyomous

Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, and apolitical. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem.

Visit the local AA website for times and locations of meetings.

  • Narcotics Anonyomous

NA is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using.

Visit the local NA website for times and locations of meetings.
